The Runaway Dolls Series

Now, this books series is called the Runaway Dolls. It is written by Ann M. Martin and Laura Godwin. These book are suitable for kids at any age. Here are the books.

The Doll People

Ages 8-12

Annabelle Doll is eight years old -- and has been for more than 100 years. Nothing much has changed in the dollhouse during that time, except for the fact that 45 years ago, Annabelle's Aunt Sarah disappeared from the dollhouse without a trace. After all this time, restless Annabelle is becoming more and more curious about her aunt's fate. And when she discovers Auntie Sarah's old diary, she becomes positively driven. Her family tries to discourage her, but Annabelle won't be stopped, even though she risks "Permanent Doll State," in which she could turn into a regular, nonliving doll. Then the Funcrafts, a raucous family of pink plastic dolls, move in next door, and the Doll family's world is positively turned upside down as Annabelle and her new friend Tiffany Funcraft take ever greater risks to discover the truth about what happened to Aunt Sarah. Popular authors Ann M. Martin & Laura Godwin, with the help of Brian Selznick's remarkably humorous pencil drawings, bring to life two wonderful doll families that will entertain and delight the middle-grade readers in your life. 288pp.

The Meanest Doll In The World

Ages 8-12

Annabelle Doll and Tiffany Funcraft are two dolls who have been best friends since they met in Kate Palmer's house. Though they're both alive, they have to be careful that no human being sees them move or they could be frozen in permanent doll state. When Kate almost catches them on the stairs, they hid in Kate's backpack and soon find themselves on the biggest adventure of their lives - a day at school! How can they resist taking a look at the place Kate spends so much time? But when they attempt to go home, they accidentally end up in the wrong backpack and in the wrong house! Unlike their home, where all the dolls are friends, this house is dominated by Mean Mimi - a selfish doll who's willing to do anything to get her way. When Mimi follows Annabelle and Tiffany home, she threatens to expose their families to the humans and so get them all frozen forever. Can Annabelle and Tiffany save their families and stop Mimi? Your young readers will be thrilled by this exciting, masterfully plotted sequel to The Doll People, which once again explores the nature of friendship and teamwork. Caldecott Honor artist Brian Selznick's ingenious black-and-white illustrations give you and your readers a doll's eye view of this fast-paced adventure. 304pp.

The Runaway Dolls

Ages 8-12

Best friends Annabelle Doll, an antique porcelain doll, and Tiffany Funcraft, a modern plastic doll, are back for a third adventure! When a voice issues from a mysterious package that arrives at the house while their human owners, the Palmers, are on vacation, Annabelle and Tiffany think it might contain the Doll family’s missing baby. They open the package and discover that the doll inside, Matilda, is indeed Annabelle’s lost sister! But what if the Palmers decide to send Matilda back? Annabelle decides to run away with her new sibling in order to protect her, and Tiffany — always loyal — accompanies her. Soon joined by their brothers Bobby and Bailey, the five dolls find that life outside the Palmer’s house isn’t easy. Having gotten lost in the woods, they try to find their way back home, only to end up in the toy department of a large store. Now they face a new danger — being sold to separate owners! Since they must obey the Doll Code of Honor, the dolls must wait until closing before they can spring to life, which only complicates their attempts to escape. Can the runaway dolls find their way back home? And will Annabelle find a way to keep her new sister? Filled with humor and adventure, the story is highlighted by Caldecott Medalist Brian Selznick’s fabulous pencil drawings, including a wordless 19-page pictorial prologue. Your young readers will be thrilled by this exciting new adventure as Annabelle and Tiffany face their greatest challenges yet! 352pp.

Who is a friend and who is a foe? Find out in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

It’s your second year at this school full of wizards, and things just keep getting weirder. First this strange elf with big ears told you not to come back to Hogwarts.
